There are many challenges when trying to stick to gluten-free diet. To me, one of the hardest things is finding tasty sweets and snacks without eating the usual fresh fruit and raw vegetables. Here are a few that I have found to be real winners.
If you like brownies, Krusteaz brand makes gluten-free mix that is really good. You just add water, eggs and oil and in less than an hour you have soft, chewy brownies. You can even find them at BJ’s in a two pack! Also Betty Crocker Gluten Free chocolate chip cookies bake in less than 15 minutes for a tasty treat. For a special occasion pre-order a Gluten Free birthday cake from DiBartolo’s in Collingswood–truly the best I’ve had.
Now for some snack options. Chex has a gluten-free granola mix that you can eat right out of the package, as a cereal, or added to your favorite yogurt. To accompany hummus or salsa, grab a bag of either Riceworks Sea Salt and Sesame Chips or Tostitos Organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips. Both are gluten free, so you dip and snack away.
Hopefully you find these tips helpful and the products easy to find. If you have any other gluten-free finds let me know. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
